My customer had his website defaced. But the person doing it was a kiddie and he left his IP LOL.. Anyways yah turns out he is in USA. I have reported him for hacking to the Federal Bureau. Anyways this seems to be very important. Thanks for posting!

I just updated my phpbb, im glad now i have a reason too! I wonder how the worm works, pretty freaky. I used phpbb for a long time, im very familliar with it, im just makign my own cms.

I know that nothing is truly bullet proof but it just makes me happy knowing I use vBulletin for all my sites. I got real tired of always patching phpBB.

Users on 2.0.18 are not affected - this is targetting those forums still on versions around 2.0.10 at present.

Thank god. I was already worried. It's true, phpBB is a nightmare but I don't know what else to use for my small sites. One day I'm going to look for alternatives.

PHPBB would be great if people stop hackin em and creating worms. But you know that never gonna happen.

I don't have that extra kinda cash either but it sure beats getting whacked or spending numerous hours always patching sites. Not to mention the security of all the other sites on a box.

Why complain phpbb is free. Can't complain when you don't pay for it.
