OK, I posted this a couple of weeks ago and got lowballed here as to the value. But, it turns out that now two competing companies in China that make in-car entertainment components are interested in this name, ForYou.tv.

both are med/large business in emerging markets and per their emails (which oddly enough arrived within 24 hours of each other) are legit customers and seem to be very willing to negotiate a price.

So what should I look for now? (and to all those who appraised this before at regfee or less.. HAHA!@!@!@!@!)

Thanks :)

Lee

lol, like it would matter. Anyone who has ever done business with China knows that the chinese govt. subsidizes their companies. as an example:

chinese business quotes an American business to build a component. American business accepts bid, so chinese company builds and ships products. Somewhere in the process, the chinese govt reimburses the company to provide them a profit (read: put the company in a profitable range). this allows the business in China to compete in the global market becuase shipping to the states costs a grip, it mploys their peoples and provides a tax base to which they can subsidize more business'.

However, once a chinese company grows large, these subsidies become fewer and fewer in percentage. When this happens, the "customer service" seems to evaporate and the customer is often left in a tough situation of trying to find a new vendor.

nothing wrong with it, its just business. Nothing wrong in pointing it out either.

I think though, Wal-Mart is majorly to blame for creating a business situation that makes this more the norm than the acception. Shame.

youll get some. people here always rate my stuff low. my best previous one, was rated here as reg fee- midXX originally. within six months I had received a $250.00 offer. (sold for much less to a friend)

this place should NOT be your absolute rule as to what its worth or what to sell for. It merely gives you an idea as to whom is jealous for not reg'ing a name themselves. (i kid i kid!)

(sorta)

the trick is to diversify...think stock portfolio..but domain names...a good one would include some very short ones, some obscene adult ones and some dictionary words if possible regardless of the extension and then the "dreamer/pie in the sky" domains that could be worth it all or just not worth shit... remember without risk there is no reward!

Just some tip.. Chinese business ppl are very *wise* ... they can leave you anytime they want... they gamble for their *own* advantage... usually

I think this is a legit offer...

I've once had a very short email... that goes like "I want to buy your doman xxxx.com, how much?... but that was my greatest sale at low$x,xxx...

Can't appraise ATM for end-user.. i don't know what they're thinking but I believe that keeping it at a low-medium price will bring you a *SURE* quick sale...

best of luck Lee
