OK, I posted this a couple of weeks ago and got lowballed here as to the value. But, it turns out that now two competing companies in China that make in-car entertainment components are interested in this name, ForYou.tv.

both are med/large business in emerging markets and per their emails (which oddly enough arrived within 24 hours of each other) are legit customers and seem to be very willing to negotiate a price.

So what should I look for now? (and to all those who appraised this before at regfee or less.. HAHA!@!@!@!@!)

Thanks :)

Lee

Ask for a million and see what happens ;)

Sounds like a good deal... for them.

Good luck.
Mike

P.S. Let us know how you make out please.

Potential interest from others - possible End users - is a good thing, and this (new) information may change folks' perceptions of the domain and valuation, IMHO. Can you post the two E-mails here for our review? Also, information on the two companies ... including home site "links" if possible? :talk:
At this point, it's still a $0.00 - Reg. fee domain name, in my view (in the Wholesale arena), as initially posted.

Sounds like you lucked out. I would never quote an end user of that caliber less than four figures. Hope you're up for a good negotiation! Good luck, Lee.

if they both want the domain they will put a lot of money into getting it.... remember that :)

Hopefully Sabre :)

Im going to take this slow so as not to mess up somehow. The Chinese, in my experience are a complete pain to deal with when something isnt subsidized by their government, such as this I suppose.

I'll probably be asking for tons more advice in the future on this matter. Thanks :)

This information could help a lot with the above request, IMHO.
Thanks.

Man, you should ofcourse run a auction.
Where the bids are not shown they will just see when the raise if they raised over or under the other ones offer. In that way you can get alot if one doesnt have that much money.

that sucks... you should report his name here or something...

no, he was from another board lol. (SitePoint, which isnt good for selling anyways.)

I think though, that the two emails are from the same company. The parent and subsidiary business. the second company is ForYouGE (which is general electronics). I noticed the IP adds in the emails were awefully similar, so I did a trace and it turns out they are sent via the same servers from ForYouMedia.com...

So it looks like a communication error on their part as to who would contact me. Oh well, I repleid essentially the same thing to both... so it shouldnt be much of an issue other than they most likely wont be bidding against each other lol.

Hope our chinese members don't have friends at these ToYou companies.

Good-luck,
