Rate my header please

Critique for my header please

Hi all! My designer made a design for a header for my reggaeton forum. (reggaeton is a latin-caribbean music which is getting popular in the states as well)

Here you can find the header, please give me some feedback, because I think it is not perfect yet, because the header need to be 'bling bling' and I think it could be better.. what do you think? And what needs to be better?

I appreciate all kind of feedback

Hey Masterco, to be honest it doesn't do much for me.

I like the first one better than the second though, maybe its just to much blue? I can't really put my finger on it.

Yeah i think it could work. If it were mine i would atleast take out the little blue dots

It's too graphical. Like the images contrasts all don't match up. It doesn't look crisp.

The images does not match witht the background and it does not look quite professional to me. Try to change your layout

I like the first one. They both look pretty good. I think either one would do good.

If I need to choose between the two you listed, I would take the first one.
The text is better on that one (though you should decrease the amount of 'sparkles').
I don't see the point of these random black dots, they don't fit at all.
And please blend your images some more, they stand out too much.

I'd go with the first one and I agree with digitome about taking out the dots. Maybe try deeper blue for the background, this may give it more contrast.
