Random HTML display script...?

does anyone know of any scripts that are able to display random html/images everytime..? basically i have 6 different messages i would like to be displayed at the side of my site...i would like to display 2 evertime the page is loaded...so i'm hoping there is a way to display these images randomly.

hopefully in php or java...which ever has less code.
