Hi. I always try to look at domains firstly from a customer/user point of view.
Initial thoughts and Google search doesn't come up with anything obvious.
What or who is your intended target market?

I think that the domain can be used for some hosting company/solution,
since is a mix of two well known hosting company names.

This is a nice domain for a site about web server racks and hosting technology.

Yeah definiately sounds good for that market.
I would probably say to start with (if possible) intended more for the advanced and experienced server users as it would take a little bit of time to advertise and promote racklayer to the general public and novices of hosting etc.
