Question about Awstats

On the referrals on my Awstats it says a post on a forum has sent me 170 uniques, now it boviously doesn't list the actual topic just the forum url, but when I do a search at the forum for my url I find nothing?

Are you sure its uniques and not just hits, because if thats the case someone could just be hotlinking an image of yours and using it as an avatar or signature.

Do you have access to your server log files??

If you have that then it's easy to search trough them for the complete forum URL...

You should find two interesting buttons in there:

"Raw Access Logs"
Download todays log in there

"Raw Log Manager"
Go in there and set the "Archive Logs....." button.
You will then be able to download the raw log for the whole month there.
It'll be updated once every day.

No probs..

You should download something like Editpad http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html or similar to view the logs..

The logs may be a bit too big for Notepad.....
(mine are over 2gb...)
