Basically it wraps your product in a protective exe shield. Which requires a license, which the script provides when the user registers.

You're able to control and track the license from within your control panel. If someone starts sharing or ask for a refund to your program, you can turn their license off and they will no longer have access.

This can be used to offer a trial period as well. During the wrapping process your able to set how many day's before the license expires.

The best way to understand it is just use that's one of the reason for offering the first 3 month's for free.
