It's a rare and real dictionary word (none of the adjusted/electrofied/procrastinated BS domains claimed as dictionary), OVT 1562

Definitions of proprietor on the Web:
- owner: (law) someone who owns (is legal possessor of) a business; "he is the owner of a chain of restaurants"
- A single person who is the owner of an unincorporated business.
- Any person, firm, association, partnership, corporation or any combination thereof that owns property proposed for development.
- The sole owner of a trade or business.

as always appraisal rep :notme: ++ will be left for educated responses...:lala:

Is the arrogance really necessary?

Perhaps nobody is interested in responding because of the attitude? Hmmm...

Proprietor.net is a very nice domain, but hard to put a value on. The .net cuts is down to about 20% the value of the .com version, so I'd give it an approximate wholesale value of $150 to $200. Depending on what an end user can do to develop it, it could be worth low $x,xxx. Good luck.

Gene thanks for the appraisal.. the arrogance goes to show that unless you add "REP +++" in title you don't get response...

as for the name it's a very recent expired auction second bidder bid $X,XXX range so IMHO you're way out...

And you wonder why people don't like to appraise your domains? I gave you my appraisal based on wholesale value to another domainer. Bidders at auctions tend to get caught up in the race, lose their sense of true value and just WANT to win the name. I stand by my appraisal. As I said, Low $x,xxx can be expected if you find the right buyer.

thanks for the personal attack Gene... your comments are totally unjustified so please let's close the thread.. the 2nd bidder was NOT and end-user he's on my AIM list a well known dictionary word collector who sometimes resells...

an educated appraisal would assume that you're familiar w/dictionary words aka $1.7K wholesale to $4-6K to end user.. Will let you know when I sell it....

IMHO its $xxx. I see domains that go for very high prices at snapnames auction due to speculative bids, and that doesnt mean a name is likely to get that amount on the market very soon.

Where is the personal attack? What comments are unjustified? You asked (no, begged) for an appraisal. I gave you my appraisal based on my personal experience. What more do you want?

Nobody can give you an accurate worth of your domain. There's no such thing. Value can only be determined by the buyer, and how badly he or she wants it. I would not be surprised if you got several thousand from the name. I've sold many domains for thousands that were worth much less. But when I give an appraisal, it's based on normal market value -- not based on one highly motivated buyer that would pay well over market value because it suits them perfectly.

There are dictionary words, and there are dictionary words. Most dictionary words do NOT sell for anything close to $1.7k wholesale. I have a few dozen nice dictionary words that I will gladly sell you for $200 each.
