Promoting Music Online?

I am trying to promote a friend's music online. I created a myspace and added his music to rhapsody, and soon it will be on itunes. How can i get more people to his myspace and promote his music online?

for free promotion, you are in the right track. i mean you should join many forum related with your site, then post make a post to promote.

you could post a news release on music industry news network (mi2n.com) for free.
also make "friends" on myspace so you can post links to his music through posts on their pages, etc.
