I have a script called FindProducts.

It's based on the site-sift directory script

What it does is that it..

1. Let shop owners to subscribe their products into the categories. They also get an own quality page.
2. Let people search for products by browsing the categories or using the search feature.
3. Search Engines can index many pages and will love it due to SEO-friendly urls and some unique-fresh content functions such as comments for every product page and the newest products are sorted on the front page.

For more features watch this: http://www.findproducts.org/forum/article1.htm

And it's free.

Answer is on the forum:
The script is free as long as you include the two links in the footer. If you want to remove them then you must:

1. Pay me 20$ at paypal:[email protected]
2. Pay Stuart 59.95$ (the owner of Site-Sift listing).

Can admin config so that all comments are moderated/reviewed before going live?

Not currently in this version. However, it limits the IP so it can't make a comment/rate on the same product more then once. Also, the shopowners IP can't comment/rate it's own product. This usually helps a lot.

Thanks for your reply. I think $20 + $59 is quite high with no support and no updates. In fact, I had installed the script and it was missing some count_rating() function that wasn't created in the script, I actually had to remove the rating bit from the script completely. The way I see it, I will need to spend time going through it fixing some of the functions. Also, the search results code is a little rough as it thinks every search result listing has no image uploaded (when in fact the image WAS uploaded).

One last thing.. I added let's say "freelance" as a listing. I then did a search for "lance" and no results appeared. To me, this is a bit odd, so I may need to dig in to the core search engine and fix this as well. To me, this script is a solid base for taking it to the next level, but the branding fee is way to high.

If you are willing to go much lower, (you know, like $30 or something in that ballpark) I will pay via paypal, however close to $100 for a script that nobody knows about is outragously high. Not only this, but has the script been tested for security? (you know, like SQL injections, XSS cross-site scripting, etc)?

Some advice:

Get the script working mint. Get it to the point where installation is quick (which it is) but all the features working 100%. Then you should have no problems from people like me questioning your branding fees as they seem to be very high for such as script that requires a lot of work.

Think about it let me know.

Actually I never thought that this option was going to be popular. However, I will ask Stuart about this first. However, everyone who buy this get access to all the updates and support in the forum or even live support at MSN if it's needed.

I actually fixed that bit a while ago.

The same update I posted above fix this bug as well.

This has to do with the site-sift listings sourcecode. Anyway, I will add it to my todo list.

The protection from SQL injections is improved compared to site-sift which is known as a pretty stable script.

I would like to say that I have no problem in running this script myself, as long as you install the fix I posted above, you will have no further problems.

However, now when I see that the interest is high, I will continue to work on an upcomming version.

Thanks! Everyone that have installed it somewhere are welcome to show put a link to their site. This way I can post it in my forum in my directory promotion thread.

Also, Stuart responded about the signature removal price. He said that he will think about it.
