Have we seen a price freeze on 3 letter .coms and .nets?

I have not been paying much attention the last few months with the above and ive been looking at a few posts and there doesnt seem to have been much of a price increase in lets say 6 months. Is it just me or does anyone else think this too?

What is your valuation of an 'average' 3 letter .com and .net?

Waiting with anticipation for your opinions.

Actually, I believe 3Character.com has done a quality job tracking the average price increases in LLL.com domain names. I believe the average reseller pricing right now for an LLL.com is around 3,400-3,500 at the minimum. If you consider how many domainers are coming into the market place and how many are trying to buy up those that are for sale, there has been a nice steady growth in their market value.

I would say about 6 months ago, you could find LLL.com's readily at just over 3k... not anymore... Price freeze? Nope. However, there are a few other class of domains that are rising faster, IE - pronounceable LLLL.com's (CVCV)

Hello All,

I think I may have to disagree regarding a "freeze".

The LLL.com market is going quite strong and there have been quite a few strong sales recently. Letter quality does seem to be playing a stronger role among reseller buys and premium combos are commanding some very strong values, but even among the lesser quality LLL.coms, their values have jumped pretty strongly over the last 5 weeks particularly.

On the LLL.net side, they may seem somewhat more calm in that they had a strong rise in value about 6 months ago, but values are still growing and there hasn't been a month in over 2 years of my focused tracking that the values haven't increased (Certainly should be noted that LLL.com domains have also continued to increase in value strongly for every month in the last 2 years). Even with the run-up of the stock market in the last year, money invested in LLL.com or LLL.net domains would have on average yielded a much better overall return by far (this has been continually true since 2000, and the fundamentals behind the LLL.com and LLL.net market are still as strong as any other time).

I might actually suggest that we're on the verge of another pretty strong run-up in the values for LLL.com and LLL.net domains. With the help of some charting and several years of tracking, the June to December run are very strong months for LLL domains. IMHO I'd much rather be a buyer right now than a seller for LLL.coms and LLL.nets.

Great topic...

Thanks,
zesty

The LLL.COM'S have risen in minimum reseller price by about $500 in the past 5 months.

Good Timing on this Thread...

Although I posted it a bit early... We put together a 3 letter .com Report, based on our information, we determined that the minimum reseller pricing of a LLL.com should be about $4,085 dollars.

You can download a copy of the report here:
