.us preorder.us - Discussion / opinions please

Seeing as we have our very own forum for .us discussion, I wanted to get your opinions on the domain preorder.us. I am not looking for appraisals on value, although appreciated too, but more on development ideas or any particular markets / trends that may add value.

I have owned it for some time now - over 2 years and it is the only .us domain I plan to 'sit on'.

Love it or hate it, guys?

I like it,Not bad google results ,,and a little ovt,Definatly worth hanging onto for the long haul..and i don't think it will be that long before Dot US opens up full throttle.

I think anybody that shops online will have preordered something at some point. Its just how to tap into that market.

I like it a lot Rob! The development of it is a little bit more tricky though, as there are so many different ways you can take this domain. Personally I think I would set up an affiliate store where you can list items that come out in the future, and then provide links to Amazon, Buy.com, and any other store that may offer preorders. The one suggestion I would make is to limit your product range at first. You can preorder almost anything these days, but I think you would be able to have more success if you started off with a smaller market such as music/video games, or books, and then slowly expanded to cover more types of products. Thanks for the valuable input Tom, you talked about an idea that I had previously (In fact it was only the other day I unearthed designs which I did on a night shift @ work!).

It seems like the most popular route to take...
