I'm looking to sell my domain PremiumHost.com. I currently have two offers on another forum, one for $1000 and one for $1200. However, seeing it's a great, easy to remember early .com from 1998 I think it's worth a bit more.

Any tips?

Thanks for looking!

It's a nice domain and good hosting domains under .com are hard to find :imho:
I would gear for 3K. The problem is to find the right end user. Hosting is a highly competitive industry with many many cheap providers. Not many are willing to put up the money for a strong domain. That's why many are in fact operating under .net as a second choice.
The right end user would be:
A small (growing) host that is looking to rebrand itself OR
somebody looking to get started in the hosting business and trying to make a name for themselves (litterally). I like saying that 'with a good domain you already have an edge over the competition in terms of credibility'.
I would say the offers you got are not bad but not enough for me. I would wait unless you need the money B-)

VT -

sdsinc is absolutely right. I believe the value of this domain to the end-user is going to be around 2-3k - the reasoning because there are soooooo many hosting providers and obviously an incredible amount of potential variations. I think this name is absolutely solid.

According to namebio

ExpertHosting.com Sold for $1,800 (8/21/06) @ Afternic
UnitedHosting.com Sold for $14,000 (9/26/06) @ Afternic

I believe UnitedHosting was probably an inflated sale by an existing hosting company by that name. They had to have the domain name. (this is only a guess, and if someone were to research, they can prove me wrong)

On the forums I dont think your going to do much better than 1k-1.5k - I would definetly start listing the name at auction houses, I might even consider putting it up for auction at SEDO - I think you'd fetch a fair price.

I'd say you could get alot for this. Since its such a catchy name and could easyily turn into the next big registrar. Lets put this at very high x,xxx or very low xx,xxx

Yes, I think this can go for at least mid $x,xxx. There are many, many successful hosting business out there that just might want to grab this domain for themselves!
