PR2 value?

Wondering about this. I picked up a LLLL.com and discovered that the LLLL has a PR2 (checked at seologs). It only has a few backlinks (under a dozen). Wondering if there is some value in the PR2 ranking (ie sale price is $XX based solely on PR not the domain name). Do domains need at least PR3 to be worth anything?

I know that PR4 and PR5 are worth something but they likely would not be available in any drops for me. Just got lucky with this name.

Thanks

I don't think PR2 has any great value. Maybe Low $xx.

I just sold a PR 3 Site for $25. :D

PR2 is easy enough to achieve that it would not affect the price for me.

PR6 is when I really start looking at a domain.

I must agree with dan_Vt.
Getting up to PR5 is relatively easy but getting above that is hard job that's why domains with PR6 or above holds more value from PR

The page rank really says something about a site....really it should say how big the site is currently.

And a page rank of 2 is very low....you can't get all that much lower than that.

What do you mean by "big"?

It's a value of all the links leading to the page, it doesn't have anything to do with size or popularity.

Okies, someone throw a rock at me...I thought people wanted the PR (which is Page Rank, right?) to be low? I'm still brand new to this game, just curious here, guess I need to read up on it...

No, high page rank = good. For example Google.com is PR10.

If low PR was good I would have been a millionaire on day 1 :hehe:

Cannot agree with this. Page Rank is just a factor that shows how many other pages with PR links to this page. My site is over 1 month old and due to link building I got PR 4 for it (and must say nothing extraordinary) - but PR says nothing about how big my site is. And also says nothing about my traffic.

I would more love to have good SERP (position in search results) because top position means stable organic traffic. And good SERP is much more difficlut than big PR. For example, the site that got PR 4 during 1 month has managed to climb only to page 3 in Google and I must say it's a big victory.

So, PR is kind of a myth. I can run tiny link building campaign and any site will get PR. Don't get hypnotized by PR. It is just a green line. Everything that is beyond PR 5 is not a problem to get.

Actualy ... websites with not uniq content,etc... are reciving Pr1-PR2, you may easy recive a PR4 only because you have original content! and a PR5 only because you have a well organizated website, with sitemaps. And a PR6-PR7 only because you have theme related incoming/outgoing links, and you have 0 outgoing-backlinks to websites not related to yours!

I don't think so. PageRank is a calculation based on links to the page, it has nothing to do with content.
