Math was never my best subject niether, although I did work in an accounting department for like over 15 years lol, I am happy to be out of that field.

Religion on the other hand was pretty straight forward, how the heck did you score so low...

I was never big on studying so no pointers there, I used to study on my way into school on the bus, it was an hour drive to school so plenty of time or at least I thought.

I guess it was because i didn't study... a 1 hour drive is quite a long drive :D your school must be far far away :D

Oh, it was a long drive, I lived in a very small town, they had no High School, thus we had to be shipped/transported to the nearest one.

We had some good times on that bus ride let me tell yeah, things tended to get a bit out of hand after being on the bus for so long.

I was always a "slacker nerd" in all of my schooling.
Make games out of it, is my advice.
I played memory games, flashcards, trivia games, and the like. It's about the only way I made it through the dreaded 1L year of lawschool.
Make it fun, you'll be mroe likely to study, and you'll actually remember it.

High School (from Gr 7 to 11 here) was pretty simple for me, although not everyone found it easy. You should study by writing and practicing actual textbook problems, not just "looking over" or memorizing details. The best way to learn is actually through trying, or else you'll forget and/or be nervous during an exam.

In College (here for 2 years before university), it's much more challenging and requires much more effort. Even with studying most questions are made in such a way that you have to know beyond the required study material. Anyway, for your case, I recommend you stick to doing homework and trying them again before an exam, esp. the ones you got wrong.

Hope it helps! :)

Everyone has different study techniques. My technique is to do nothing. I've never studied for a test in my life but I think its because I catch on quickly so I know it while other people may have forgotten. Also some people are just naturally good at tests and test-taking situations; we have the ACT, kind of like the SAT, and I got a 31, which is equivalent to a 1400 on the SAT, and I didn't do one bit of studying or take those prep classes, and I was actually up later than normal the night before.

So basically just try different things until you find a technique youre comfortable with.

I wish i could help you but i dont study in the slightest, I just know the answeres, My mum was telling me about it a year back I can listen to anything and it will just stay in my head, Like phone numbers when someone tells me one straight away i can remember it for like 3 weeks afterwards without thinking about it.

go on thoose bitesize websites there supposed to be good.

High school (Grade 9 to 12 here) has been fairly easy to me. I'm in my last year. I've always hated Math and my grades reflected that. I found that reading to myself aloud did the trick. Like I would read something, then when finished, read it out loud. That's always helped me. Although, everyone learns/studies differently.

math = take textbook problems and try them. The answers are in the back of the book usually. practice till you can get them right fast

I was sort of in the same situation as you, although I failed all my exams except for business studies and enginering (although got not so good marks) I just wasnt interested in high school, and friends and going out played a bigger part in my life, although I decided to stay on at college for some strange reason. To help study properly I advice switching off your t.v, computer, mobile phone and everything else that can distract you.Thats my only advice

this works for me / well used to but im done with education now

when revising do like half hours work. then go get a drink / go to the loo and while doing that say to yourself what youve just studied over the past half hour. then 10-15 laters go back do more revising

i did this revision day before i did my GCSE's at school and they taught us all sorts of little techniques to remember our revision notes.

also drawing it visually helps me.
they also taught us to draw what were studying in spider diagram format so
say you was studying circles or something
you might draw a diagram like this
http://tenbellys.com/screenshots/maths.jpg

we did these duirng this revsion day and we ended up with a A3 sheet of paper full of things like this that resolved around certain things.

but it helped because things where broken down and i could say right the value of pi is 3.14 and with circles the circumference is the distance around it

guess what im trying to say is not to much at once and revise what youve revised every half our or so.
