There are Poker Tournaments on TV all the time, so the .TV fits the name real well.

Only problem is, .TV names look to be a couple more months off until they start reaching more value.

I got it appraised by afternic, since I wanted to advertise it on their home page, and the appraisal came back at $400-$3,100, depending on who the buyer is...... eh, who knows. If greatdomains accepts it, I may just list it with them for a couple years.

Hey Rogue, good luck, I hope you get listed on GD I think your domain in time will have more value than the afternic appraisal. In fact, I am suprised that afternic is giving such a wide spread. I would ask for my money back from them. That is a really wide appraisal.

It is a decent domain name, but there are so many .tv names out there related to poker and I have yet to see any of them successful.

I currently own over 2600 poker domains and the only .tv ext I own now is PacificPoker.tv. - This doman did real well when PacificPokerTV.com was running a webcast poker tournament online and I assume they will do it again soon.

PacificPoker is the 3rd largest online pokersite and this domain does OK in traffic and PPC. I had other pokerdomains with the .tv ext that I let expire because the traffic was to low. Its hard to renew expensive domains every year.

I seriously doubt GreatDomains will accept it and I am suprised Afternic even appraised it as high as they did... Afternic does not even have any clue about poker domains or the demand for poker. GreatDomains turned down my PokerPod.com and many other poker domains I own so I dont even bother with it. Gd does not like competition.

Thanks for the info, it is appreciated. GD just got back to me, they accepted it, and want to list it for quite a bit higher than afternic's appraisal. I will probably switch over to them, since one can always lower the price, but not raise it, after a bid. Like you suggest, though, I may just end up holding it indefinately, in which case I will have to put some poker related products on it and work it as an affiliate site.
