After the web.com sale of $4.8 million I do hope that some people will now understand why I was not in a position to go into details concerning the sale of poker.web.com and that they will now accept the sale as a genuine post
and have the decency to apologise and understand that sometimes people are constrained by legal restrictions and perhaps understand why I have had to be careful on what I could post and do.

Thank you

Hi Quality, unless your name is Will Pemble I still don't understand why you can't be a bit clearer about this great sale. I do however apologise if any of my posts have offended you :) sorry

ps - If it is and you want me to remove your name PM me

meanwhile, back at the thread in question..

What puzzles me the most i guess is the fact that the buyer of this domain clearly knows his onions i.e. he insisted upon non disclosure clause restrictions on his purchase.

Yet, he paid $15k for the domain without using escrow or any other safe means of paying a person, i am assuming he doesnt know. He fails to take over control or ownership of this domain weeks after the sale and, most baffling of all, he completes on the deal despite the pending acquisition of web.com by Interland (which has been going on for several months) and all the associated risks for which this acquisition would clearly represent....

I mean how does he know what the new owners of web.com will want to do with their sub domains - for all we know Interland will delete all these 'oh so fabulous' sub domains and tell the 'never were' owners to hit the road...

I hope not for your sake Quality for i'm sure this buyer of yours, despite his bizarre behavior, will come a knocking for his money back D-:

quality,
Now that the sale is completed, you can put the "controversy" to rest by just giving folks what they ask for: details.
I must admit that I am not as polite as -db-, and I am still quite the cynic (And will remain such until better/complete info is given).

Its a New Year can we get some info on this record breaking sale? :tu:
Quality(if you say so)
we want to praise you not degrade you but you are not helping your case, could you give us an update on your sale, no movement has been made on the name. :td:

That's not a sufficient indication of shenanigans, as I have domains that have expired that are still for sale at Sedo.

However, it is still parked at Sedo, and that does seem to indicate a problem.

Another problem: The fact that quality has previously claimed more than $100 a month from parked clicks.
DOMAIN STATISTICS:
Visitors to this Sedo Listing: 24
Unique Visitors per month: 120
(And you know that at least 1/2 of those are us)

Another problem, centralnic's whois server still shows that the domain is expired and no change in ownership...:
http://www.centralnic.com/whois?domain=poker.web.com

And lastly, quality's complete lack of willingness to share any information aside from the domain and purchase price causes my "spider sense" to tingle.

Like I said, he's more than welcome to prove me wrong, but until then, I too am tempted to call...

Shenanigans! B-)

It's also still listed in his signature ? The whois check does'nt really prove anything IMO as my subdomains say it expires the same time as it was reg'd -My control pannel shows correct info and that they are reg'd for two years.

I can't help but think that quality is possibly the ceo of web.com ??? It seems to me that he reg'd the best keywords and paid an extra $10 per year to have the whois private. If you really wanted to sell your domains why would you CHOOSE to pay extra money to hide your contact information that may help/result in you getting a sale ???? I know I would'nt.

This of course is just speculation on my part but it is a bit too weired that it is still parked at sedo after all this time.

I don't find it "impossible" to beleive that an end user would pay this amount for it as it has great potential for development.

Most of my .web.com are getting quite alot of views parked at sedo, far more than I had expected :) I don't mind taking the chance - I'v always thought there's no point in betting on anything unless you're prepared to loose !

Maybe I will - Maybe I won't - who know's, it not the end of my world either way :)

If he has taken the offers to be a bit clearer about the sale by now I would be very surprised if he will, I'd love to know either way !

Well it seems to me that some of you are really not clued up!!!!!!!

If you think the web.com domain name transfer of $4.8 million has not affected the subdomains then what more can I say!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has it ocurred to some of you that the transfer of the domain may have led to
various agreements about the subdomains....if not I just give up!!!

As I say legal restraints prevent me disclosing anything and I have have strict instructions to follow.

Thanks and I dont care if you believe me or not I really dont!
