i read the post where you are upset about
the wasted money on the names.

why dont you try parking these names?

Check out any good parking service,

sedo.com
parked.com
namedrive.com
bodis.com
etc.

and park the names.

you never know, you might get some steady money off of them.

just a suggestion, or last ditch try before you sell

SLcitizen.com is good. May be $10 to $15. The rest, probably under the reg fee.

He has ScionBox.com and ScionBox.net
Maybe you'd like to buy the set from him?

bigaldizzler, this is where your problem is. I searched a couple of "whois" information for your domains and they all have privacy registration. If I'm an interested buyer, I wouldn't know how to contact you. If you intend to receive offers for your domains, don't register the privacy. Maybe you want to remove the privacy now.

Here's a tip you can use to try to sell your domains.
I Goto GoDaddy.com and search for your domain "realestatechat.net"
Then I see that "realestatechat.com , .org, .info and .us" are taken. You might want to approach the people who own these domains to see if they are interested to buy from you. Email all of them. Then you search for the "whois" info for these domains and you will get their email (if they don't have privacy registration.

I searched insurancekeywords.com and alot of the lower extensions are also taken. You can also approach them.

You can try this method for all the other domain names you own.

i have tried parking...people come but no one clicked, maybe its sedo I have just moved to Namedrive a week ago :(

About private registration...boy I was sold by the warning about protecting your personal information so I always buy private. I would turn it off but then people know where I live and stuff...but then they can contact me...is there anything real bad that can happen if I dont have private whois?

About approaching other people with the other dot extentions man that is such a great idea I never thought of that!!! i will give it a shot!!! :)

If you have godaddy, you can sign up for one of the services that offers free cash parking. That allows you to use up to 4 keywords per name. Otherwise godaddy charges for parking. I had some good results with them until someone talked me into using the other services which did not really deliver.

Also try bodis.com because the payouts are higher than most. I always try to get a ballpark figure from dnscoop.com or estibot.com.

Good luck to you and you can advertise your domains once per hour in namepros chat. Hang out for awhile, be respectful, and don't list your name more than once per hour (strict) or you'll get kicked out of chat.

There are a lot of crazy people in this world and I have been victim to a cyberstalker before and as such I never ever ever suggest anyone ever reveal their real information on whois with domain name registration however that doesn't mean you have to pay for private registration. If you start to buy a lot of domains this can be extremly pricey. What they need to do is get a post office box and use that is their listed address.

You don't even have to stop at people who own lesser extensions of the same domain. If you have a .com, you can search for related .coms and approach those owners too.

Just pick yourself up and make a go of it and I'm sure you'll do better than you think. Here is a sticky on sample letters for emails you can send:

Click Me

Good luck.

Have you thought of starting a blog ? You can use one of your domain names for the blog (it's free with blogger) then you get an Adsense account and put ads. on your blog - not too complicated, doesn't cost anything and it might get you some income - have a look at this guy's blog - http://jtjnet.com/ he's still at school too

frankly, your names aren't that bad.

You have some with good keywords in there:
RealtorChat.com
RealEstateChat.com
InsuredMotorist(s).com/.net
InsuranceKeyword(s)

While these names won't sell on the reseller market for more than $15, they can be sold to end users.
I suggest you actively market them actively, especially the names I mentioned above.

If it makes you feel good, here's what I regged when I first started domaining about 3 months back:
G4ay.com (sold - $15)
Ane2.com
Ne2net.com
CarZaar.com (sold - $110, pending payment)
WritersLot.com (sold - $15)
Grea8.com
BitAim.com
2oyz.com
LeftoversRecipe.com

If you can see, from just one sale (CarZaar.com) I made up for the registration of all the other names, and thats all you need to make up the money - one sale.

SL= Second Life?

SL could also mean Salt Lake
(a city in utah Population 181000)
(a county in utah Population 978000)

SlCitizen could make you a few bucks if you developed it with some good original targeted content and local salt lake advertising. Probably not worth a ton on the aftermarket unless you can find someone with a definate use, but I'm sure its worth a multiple of the reg fee to the right person. Just get creative in finding them. Could be a good news publication name. "The Salt lake Citizen"

In response to your thread I have this to say: Are your hand regged names great? No. Its alright, pretty much everyone who gets started in domaining makes that same mistake. I know the ones I bought when I first started domaining are the second biggest loss I've sustained. (Ousted once bieng taken by a scammer) All of them were terrible. Learn from the mistakes and its no big deal. Either you give up domaining and cut your losses or you keep on going. I've taken a few big losses, but from that I've learned to turn it around. I'm now on target to recoup everything within 2 years from parking revenue alone.
