As a newbie myself, I recommend learning about domaining as much as you can before worrying about which registrar will allow you to sell quicker. It takes a lot of knowledge, skill and effort to sell domains as I'm learning myself, and selling them in a "short period" without having that knowledge is very unlikely anyway. Learn about the industry, learn about the registrars, learn about who potential buyers might be, current resale and end-user pricing, and content- and then go in for the sales. By the time you learn most of this, it will be well past the 60 days anyway. I've read on this forum that most newbies to the industry are lucky if they sell their first domain in a year, so knowledge and patience are imperative in this field! I firmly believe it's better to take the time to learn it correctly and have a strong foundation for your business than to jump in head first without understanding what's what.

Personally, I use Godaddy, but only because they were the only registrar I knew of before I started domaining. Most registrars have coupon codes that you can find in this forum and I BELIEVE GD is the only one that holds the 60 day policy. I could be wrong.

Best of luck!

Actually i've been studying quite for sometime.
At times we need to take limited action to learn MORE.
So i need to be clear with the registrar thing.
Pls recommend registrar that doesn't hold for 60 days.
Or do you think almost all the buyers* use Godaddy? For easy transfer
Thanks

Use Godaddy.
Most people know it and nearly all Domainers have an account with them.
Also there are a lot of codes coming every week so that you can register domains for 8 Dollars (+ some for 1$ to 5$ from time to time)

Re. 60 days lock: simply park the domain the first 60 days, after the 60 days start searching for Endusers proactively, so that you can transfer out if enduser doesn't want to use Godaddy.

I prefer Godaddy. Their customer service is great(in my opinion) and they have lots of good coupon codes usually.

As for selling to endusers I've noticed lots of them also use Godaddy so the transfers are easy.

EVERY registrar has a 60 day hold when you 1) register a new domain or 2) transfer in a domain.

Godaddy is the only one that does a 60 day hold when you update whois information.

Lots of people use Godaddy. I'm not a big fan though, I think Namecheap is a better registrar and lots of people have accounts there as well. Godaddy and Namecheap are probably the 2 I would recommend for a new domainer. You'll acquire accounts at a lot of registrars, I use about 8 or 9 myself.
