Please comment on your valuation of

etectives.com

To learn how you all think, what is the relative / overall value with etectives.net, etectives.org, and etectives.info included as well?

I can see how one can get hooked on this stuff!

Thank-you.

Essentially this can be characterized as either a madeup word (which will then require branding) or a typo (for "detective").. either way, WT is 3/day for "etective software", no OVT.. low Google of 1600 would make it easy to reach #1 for "etective"... but no one is currently searching for the term.

reg fee for all, more if developed.

Probably a typo of detective... If not maybe could be an anti-spyware / virus checker... that would be great to develop!

Even as a typo, I don't see the value as there's no one searching for it.. I do think it has value if developed, possibly for specialists in internet searches.

I like it, more of something along the "background check" sort of genre.

I also like your owning all of the extensions (Big fan of protecting a good name).

Anyhow, as a collection, low $xxx (really low, but I'm holding onto to netcast.cc and a few others hoping the term takes off, I'd suggest your doing the same).

Kinda catchy but plural hurts it a bit.

Low $xx wholesale/undeveloped.

IMHO plural increases value instead of hurts it. At least as good as singular. What do you all think?

Depends on the name/word.. in this case it's fine IMO.

It is better than singular, but again, you don't have the singular..;)

If you develop it, you will increase the value of singular version for sure, and you will lose some visitors, therfore you should have both idealy.

You're right.

Agreed.

Hi Keith,

The word does not seem to work.

eDetectives.com is a solid domain.

Etectives just doesnโ€™t have a good sound to me. Placing the โ€œeโ€ in front of โ€œtectivesโ€ just comes across as too contrived.

It could be developed, but I think that you could find a better domain.

I see little value.

Low $xx

Good luck.

If you heard the name "etective.com" what would you think the site was for?

I would develop it as an internet demographics site of some sort.. or a "people finder" site.

Lots of detective uses, good portal possibilities for those services.

Other estimates of domain name value?
