So you've installed Wordpress, downloaded a pre made template, added some text and called it a day. ....

There's nothing custom about your site, no logo, no banner, no decisive/enticing message, in short....there's nothing that would make anyone come to your site because it contains either the cool factor, the knowledge factor or the social factor.
This may sound harsh, but in order to stand out and make your site work for the long run, you're going to have to put a bit more action into it.

Colour is not your strong point, look at the below site it allows you to grab colour schemes from sites that you like the look of so that you can copy the combinations, Colour can make or break a site!

Sorry the logo is bad and not in a youth culture sort of bad it is just Very bad and should be on the header not stuck on the top next to the ad. Also which is more important the ad or your site, why give the ad the prime position.

The footer graphic does not make sense for the sites purpose, it is squashed in the vertical plane, and its colours do not match the site colours.

You are using external css so why not ditch the tables and use divs more extensively to produce the table effect you are aiming for. This will sort out the table background graphic problems you have.

Also ditch the background and go for a solid colour (Pale blue?)

Have you noticed that it gets worse if you click the more templates link on the index page.

I have made some changes to my site and put logo as well.

I don't mean to personally offend you in any way. Coming up with a kick butt design is LOTS of hard work.

I still feel it isn't professional enough.

On the sidebar I see read headers on a blue background - very hard to read. The background of the site. . . that grey stuff at the top makes the site look dated.

I think you need to build a page that doesn't look like a blog and then send them to the sign up page.

My 2 cents.

I will be honest here, Without being too hard, i think it looks kind of cheap. I'm not a huge fan of the cheap looking sites.
