Please Review edoop Web Messaging!

Hello!

I am asking for some input on a design I just finished, the site will be edoop.com, but I am not sure if the DNS has updated yet, so you can access the site by going to OctaneInvesting.com/IM for the next few hours, or if edoop.com doesn't work for you.

edoop is going to be like an MSN or AIM messenger, only web based. We are currently using the motto "edoop, get the scoop", meaning chat it up with edoop and get the "scoop" on whats going on with who you are chatting with.

So, please rate the site design, and also the name/slogan if you could!

Umm...what am i supposed to there - from a user's standpoint?
I'm asked to log in, immediately upon accessing the URL. Granted, the login screen looks neat...but what does it do?

Give me some form of teaser, preview, idea of what's actually going on, or - as a user - i'd navigate away. (all this from an evaluation standpoint)

I understand what you are saying, there is no real way of knowing what you are signing into.

If you want to test it out, the test user and pass is "test" (no "")

looks nice - few things i noticed:

maybe have a "guest" sign in?

would be nice to have a "default room" of some sort

updating my status e.g. "I'm busy" didn't seem to change the icon color, should it?

when in chat:

there's no cursor in the text box, for me this makes typing harder

there's no "send" button

once you've undocked the chat window into it's own browser instance, there doesnt seem to be a way to re-dock it?
