Hi i am 16 (going to be 17 in march) and am from the UK. I have been researching domain names for a few days now and i must say im very interested. There is a couple of things i still dont understand so please can you spare a few moments of your time time answering them. Thanks in Advance.
1. Firstly can i buy and sell domain names living in the Uk? all sales are in dollars but i thought it wouldnt matter what country you are selling domains from as i have a paypal accout paypal will change currency am i right?
2. When i buy a domain lets say i buy it for $10 a year for 2 years. I take it as this means for 2 years that site name is mines. now within those 2 years if i develop the site and decide to sell it on can i? even though its not mines and i have it for only 2 years?
3. Now the best way to make money is to get high traffic is what i found out, so you can get good parking (which mean pay per click i think) and also commision on advertisements. If i decide to do this would they pay me directly to my paypal account even if im from the UK?
4. America have a big domain business and have famous domain selling sites do Uk have any sites scpecialising on dot com?
5. Last of all if i do put advertisements and parking do they decide where it goes on my site or do do i decide that?
