I have this domain for quite some time. But recently i have been getting a lot of serious chinese domainers contact me to buy it. Ive researched for the chinese market but since most websites are in chinese im totally lost.

The domain is: 2fk.com

Please let me know in what price range this domain would fall. Im willing to sell, but since i hear a lot of buzz going on that the chinese market is seeking and paying for these 3char domains i dont want to sell it to early or to cheap.

Regards!

Ok i thought something like that, ive received some offers of 1000+ (first i thought they where the scamming type of offers but they would accept a deal through escrow). Its a crazy market though. Been researching for sales of these lnn.com's and i cant put my finger on it. Sometimes they go for 1000, sometimes up to 16000.

Now i start wondering what the best course is to follow to put this one on the market? What auctionhouse? Etc..

Its been a long time since ive been in the domain gaming market so if anyone wants to help me out here (pm if necessary) i would be enternally gratefull :)

2ck.com sold for $1100

Just noticed that one too. Its weird though, i really dont get the mechanics behind when one is for example around 1k, or even up to 5k or more. Is there any logic? :)

It looks like afternic is having the sales with the highest prices. But maybe i just need to put it on flippa. Where do these friendly chinese investors hang around? :)

I don't see many NLL.com sales at $5k, around $1000 seems to be the norm....

Going by prices achieved I'd put the value at around $1000.

The only recent one in the $5k range was 1aa.com...... clearly that is a far superior domain. Don't need logic to see that, first number + first letter of alphabet, same letter consecutively.

Theres one in the list 2br.com for 5,000. Thats why i didnt understand the logic :)
Ive found some blogs saying some of them even went for 10k up but i dont think this one will go for that crazy amount :)

You can't look at a list of several hundred domains, see one or two for $5k, and then think that your domain is worth $5k, the only logical way to determine value is to calculate median / average prices makes more sense.

The vast majority of these domains are being traded between investors, mostly the Chinese who are driving up the prices. It is possible that if you hold on to the domain the prices investors are paying will increase, although it is also possible that this bubble we are in will pop and it will decrease in price.

The example you provide, 2br.com, was purchased by a European enduser who has developed it into a site. You can see that by typing it into your browser.

In this case to them br = brand.

As I said, the vast majority of sales are amongst investors, not to end users. Those don't come along as often.

I understand. Like i said i dont think i will fetch the jackpot prices. I will try and find the best site/way to reach these chinese investors and see how much i can make of it.

Thanks for your advise!

Just an update, ive put the domain on 4.cn and a few minutes ago on godaddy auction. On 4.cn ive received a bid of $1000 but tbh im not sure if i am confident enough to pursue a sale there, or if it is safe.

Im now planning to let the auction on godaddy run for 7 days, and see if anyone notices it. Again thank you all for the advice!

Better to hold on to CCC domains.
