The words have completely different meanings. "Radiated" is mostly something people want to avoid, while "radiant" is something everybody wants to be.

Ok, understand. But why http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiated_tortoise not a radiant_tortoise ?

Shining, glowing, bright, vivid are more useful words than radiant, isn't it?

Radiant and Radiance are far better terms. They are used much more in brands.

Radiated is past tense. Limited commercial use and very limited value.
