ya, i am VERY surprised you could get that, and i think that many people have said its a reserved term, but why would you lie about it? You just went to godaddy or whatever and registered france.fr, just like that??

I think LeeRyder had no intention to "lie", as you put it. He's been around long enough in this forum to be trusted. I still remember his free resource fxclips.com, which made my day a couple of times. My guess is he was simply excited to find this name available, and which his registrar apparently allowed him to reg. Had I been in his shoes, I would have been excited, too.

If it turns out his reg attempt gets turned down, then no harm done, right? If his reg is somehow eventually approved, then he deserves a big congrats on this awesome name.

Moving forward, I hope we learn from this that its best to wait for your new domain to resolve properly before placing it up for sale or appraisal, just to avoid misunderstanding.

Well, the only reason i can think of it saying that is because I just got it yesterday and info hasnt propegated. here is the info I am getting from where I bought it:
