 Just got my hands on this. I plan to flip it. Do you think I should develop a minisite around it and flip or just without development?
Valuate.com = $13,000

How much would you have paid and what to expect.

usually a mistake to register all good english keys with wrong ccTLDs. (in this case Germany).

even though in germany many english words are used....
for instance wireless lan....(or wlan).... or in general wireless...
"wireless headphones" is not (and if so, then only as the original name of the product description, like from logitec or creative labs, etc.). but when people in germany search for wireless headphones, they use their own language for it (which is funkkopfhoerer or kabellose kopfhoerer)

proof: if you lookup monthly LOCAL exact search for [wireless headphones], you will see a dissapointing result of only around 200, whereas the global search is 60.500 people monthly.

Hey, thx for the quick reply...
But wouldn't I be able to rank .de in main searches?
I see many ccTLDs in my google results although I search from India.

of course you can, but then from seo perspective, you could also take an .INFO with hyphens or something. the main question is: who will buy it from you. of course with development and good ranking in google, its a bit different. but you also have to check how google treats english words with .de in their ranking (in comparison to other gTLD extensions, etc.). i assume that .de gets a bonus in german language. but in this field, i am not an expert.

well, i am not saying this name is extremely bad for .de or something, but the general rule is to register domain names belonging to the language of the matching ccTLD.

Right I get your point. I'll try and list this domain on CAX, and if it does not get along well, I'll develop a minisite around it.
I actually am a PHP Developer and SEO expert, so will take that path if required. Thanks for your insight.
BTW... where do I learn about IDNs I want to know how to register language based domain names, any suggestions?

List it on Bido you will get $38 for it

Oh, does Bido give results? I see that it is a very tedious process, first I list the domain, then wait for members to send it to auction, later I have to wait around 30 days for it to come to auction etc.
Any workaround except for paying them fees?

Only if you have a really great domain that they want :-/

So if the dmain is great, will it sell instantly? Is there a method that allows for buyers to buy instantly?

i saw some .de domains on bido during the last few days with english keys selling for about 40$ each. i guess thats what richface is referring to.

go to bido, select recent sales, and select .de

i would have never bought these names. and i don't know if these sales were for real. but you could try. maybe there is someone looking for these type of .de domains. but i am bit suspicious about these.

Right, I've gone ahead and added that domain to Bido and Cax lets see where I get a response from.
