South Bimini is an island in the bahamas known for its big game fishing and relaxed tourist atmosphere. Bimini is known as the fishing capital of the Bahamas. South Bimini receives excellent vacation reviews. Also one of the only islands to have an airport. Thoughts?

I like it. This is a good domain. Many people don't know this but Bimini is also where one of the strongest meridian energy fields on Earth are located. Some believe it is the location of the lost city of Atlantis.

An okay geo name. NorthBimini.com has been regged steady since '05; yours has history back to '07. Did you get it thru a dropcatcher, or hand reg it once it dropped?

Atm I'd appraise at
reseller = xx to lowest xxx range
end user = mid xxx to low x,xxx but you'd have to find a very interested/motivated buyer for that amount, imo.
If it were mine I'd be happy with 80 from a reseller and 600 from an end user, as minimums.

It was a hand reg. I may hold on to this one for a while with some possible development in the future. I talked to a couple people who are very fimiliar with South Bimini, and they said that the island is steadily gaining alot of tourist attraction and development. May be worth holding onto for future value. What do you guys think? Thanks for the feedback.

It looks like the domain has nearly a 10-year history in terms of past registrations. I was able to find website snapshots as far back as 2004. Nice reg. I personally would be very proactive in terms of selling.

"Knock on some doors" make a deal with someone doing business in that region. IMO.

At minimum, I'd build a quick one-page lander for it, with a few photos and short descrip of the area and, if you're selling, some points why this would be a great domain to buy - for an example see my OkanaganLake . com, I do this for all my geos.

If you want a little more dev, contact every business you can find that is on the island, ask them for a photo or two and a quick write-up and tell them you'll give them a free page on your site. This works often, plus you mention it's 'just until you sell the domain name' and that also lets them know it's for sale.

* It's always nice to find an end user who has your exact domain within their domain name, for example SouthBiminiRentals.com is someone to approach Even if they don't buy the name, it's a free way for you to get some content to build out your site, and it's free advertising for them.

To sum, I'd do just a little dev at this point, not spend hours and days on it; it's a forward-looking name especially if tourism is growing there. Right now things look slow, very few businesses on the island. But there's an airport and some fishing and some accommodations. Personally I'd hang on to this for a couple years and see if anyone's going to build a big resort there. You also might try to find any charter companies that specialize in travel packages to this island, agencies like that may like to buy this name.

The North version looks like its a fellow domainer on a WP site you got to figure no one made him/her an offer they couldnt refuse. You hand reg it which mean zero "Bimini "people put it on back order. Sound like the North is where all of the bimini tourist action is. While SouthBiminiRentals.com is an execlent enduser to approach i feel there isnt much(or any) after them when it comes to "SouthBimini" domain name containing endusers (so dont be so quick to blow past them if they give you a low offer) biminibayresort.com is a top enduser but there sadly on the north island. The bare bottom value (which i offten like to pursue on here even if it bothers others) is mid xx because I figure the "domainer dude" that owns the north version would pay you at least that. Relistic 3 figures if you contact a person that auctually makes money off of s bimini

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think Im just going to hold on to the name for a while maybe with a little development. Further research suggests that the island is becoming more developed and popular. I will see what happens in a year or two. Thanks again.
