i didnt know about this. i registered this domain for 3 years, what should i do? shouldn't the registerar refund, or compensate me, they should know better!!

Nope, its really up to you to research this. Surely you would know of SONY, why register another company's name.

Registrar's are out to make money, they don't care about trademarks and whether you get sued or not

Just email your registrar and ask them to delete it or have a look in your account, there could be a "delete' button

No! If the domain was available you have the right to purchase it you will not get sued... Sony wouldnt waste their time with that at all! You could put up a website with information about sony, or even reviews, or even a online store with sony products.. (like an amazon shop website for Arabia or something..)

the fact that its just a domain name with no content is another reason why it wont matter

even with their list of website/domain complaints half of the owners gave no response.. Especially if your in another country.. Nothing will happen..

I wouldn't give incorrect legal advice like this, if you sell it, it means you are benefitting finacially from someones trademark, so they can sue you. They probably wont because you are a small fish in a big pond and the name is pretty average at best, but they can if they wanted to...any they would win the case without a doubt.

Just because other cybersquatters do it, doesn't make it right and this is what gives domainers a bad name. Veggie1232, I would refrain from giving legal advice, have a look around the legal section to see how it really works.
