I am not confident with the .fr extension, but the keyword is a pretty solid one.

Thank you for your appraisal, I haven't seen so many .fr domain sales, but there are a few .fr domains with the keyword "toystore" up and running

I was able to find only one sale of .fr domain with the keyword "store" - musicstore.fr In 2009 it was sold for 3,875 USD and in 2011 it was sold for 3,100 USD. There were no reported sales with the keyword "toy", though.

If there are established websites with the keyword "toystore" in their domains, I would reach out to the owners and offer them this name, to see if they are interested. I think you can negotiate a decent price.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Konstantin

I dont know much about .fr domains, initially I would have thought that an English word paired with a .fr (french) domain wouldn't be that valuable. However after checking Namebio I see that there have been some good sales historically of English words and FR domains.

Some recent English word .FR sales:

welcome.fr 5,578 USD 2016-06-03 Sedo
jackpot.fr 8,750 USD 2016-04-26 Sedo
cars.fr 5,597 USD 2016-03-29 Sedo

I think you might have your hands on a decent domain that could fetch a good price from the right end user.

That's really informative! Thank you so much for all your help, everyone! :) I contacted a few of them actually, including the one with a hyphen, I haven't heard anything from them yet, hopefully soon and I also listed it up on Sedo, let's see how it goes.

Same thinking here. English keywords could work but not just any keywords.
I think this name has potential but you are on TM ground here, so you need to tread carefully.

Be aware that there is a TM in France for TOYSTORE STAR (holder: UBISOFT).
And also a few other marks below:
Note that three are from the same applicant, one is being challenged, one published and one is being reviewed.

It's interesting that the hyphenated version of the name is not selling toys.
Is a sale possible ? Maybe. Could you get in trouble ? Anything can happen.
