domain Please appraise lor.cc

I've been asked by the owner to appraise the value of his domain.
personally i think the 3 letter domain makes it a good one, but i also need a little feedback.

3 letters are good, but with the extenstion of .CC, it really isn't worth much, atleast not currently. There isn't a high demand for .CC 3 letters, but there could be in the future. I would hold on to the domain unless you have a nice offer on it.

3 letters are normally seen valuable becuase ex:lor.com . lor could be "lexington operations research" a company wanting a domain to set up there business on the net.. or many more companies with the same 3 letter abreviation. That same domain lor.com would be a better domain instead of lexingtonoperationsresearch.com
or lexingtonresearch.com

now say if your trying to sell lor.cc to lexington research(after they contact you) they will most likely not know of the .cc extension and will probably try registering or contacting the .com .net .org .us or whatever country extension they have instead of this unkown to them .cc extention

so i dont see this domain selling for any more than $20 to a reseller or over $100 to the end user.

I have tip.cc and no one has shown interest. So, for the moment, .cc tld has little or no value as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to hold onto mine though. I suggest you be prepared to wait for about 5 years before selling it. Who knows, it's value my skyrocket by then. Bottomline is, whatever the extension, 3 letter domains have a headstart over all the others in the same extension.

Thank you all for your responses.
It is being used by my brother who runs his own site.
He did go looking for lor.com, and it was taken of course
so he got the .cc instead.
He was curious what it would appraise at, so I asked.
I will pass this on to him, it very greatly appreciated.
