I have an offer for $150 for the domain. Should I take it?

Thanks in advance.

First, ignore the post above mine, it is link spam.

Second, I would be thrilled if someone offered me $150 for limoservice24 and I'd trip over my own nads running to the 'accept offer' button or whatever.

Was it an email offer, or thru Sedo or Godaddy? It's a hard call to make unless you know who the buyer is. If it's a domainer and the offer is thru Sedo or Godaddy then I really doubt they'd pay more than 150 - 200 tops reseller price. If it's an end user, you really don't know how much they'll pay until you know how big their biz is, and how big their pockets are. Do you know who made the offer?

If the buyer is unknown, I'd probably take a chance and ask for 300. If the buyer is known, I'd do some research into the size of their company, the domain name they presently use, etc, a lot of other factors come into it.

IMO, a valuation for your name would be:
reseller = anywhere in the xx range
end user = anywhere in the low to mid xxx range, unless they are huge and really want the name.

Let us know how it goeth :)

Thanks for your advise Bannen.

I know who the seller is. I had contacted a bunch of limo services by email and this was the only reply I got inquiring about the price. It is a limo service in New York (reasonable sized). I quoted $750, $450 and $250 (progressively decreasing it) over a period of more than a month. I said $250 would be my final offer, to which he responded (his only response) with: I cannot pay more than $150.

I think I will take up the offer, because most of the limo services are not that big, are localized to a particular city (including this buyer), and have names like xxxxLimo.com where xxxx stands for some fancy word (most of which are taken). So I guess LimoService24.com is like a drab name (with the '24' decreasing it's value), and the buyer is not too enthusiastic about it.

Anyway, I had hand-regged it only for $2.95 a month back on Godaddy, so I guess it's good ROI. For a better name, I would have stuck out for more.

Did you also contacted the owner of .de of this exact name?

It belongs to r*o*y*a*l*s*e*r*v*i*c*e* .de

24ending is quite popular in Germany.

No, I didn't contact them. And I didn't know 24 ending was popular in Germany. And I already sold the domain, because the buyer insisted he wanted the domain right away or he was withdrawing the offer. :(

I don't usually contact the country code extensions of the domains. Will definitely do it next time. Thanks for the input.

I do still have LimoServices24.com with me. Maybe I can try contacting them with the plural one.
