Real First Name, 5 Letters
Wondering if this domain is worth anything more than registration fee?

Find Jysen then.
And if he wants it, sell it to him for his asking price.
Which may be less than reg fee.
Then spend the time and the money branding the domain.
One can not take an existing domain and company that has been in business for years, has spent a lot of time and a boatload of money, as a benchmark.
What I'm trying to say is that a user doesn't necessarily need to be named Jysen in order to use the domain. A lot of these magazines and product retailers build a brand around a name.
Which means some end-user may be interested in acquiring one for branding purposes. I am actually doing the same with a few domains of mine.
Keep dreaming..... Another newbie with unrealistic hopes... NP is full off them. Been there, done that. Without decent domains this game is just a lottery.......1 chance in 750 million of hitting the jackpot.

So read it all and take it to heart!
Google, ELLE, MSN, etc....all SPENT A FORTUNE TO BRAND THEIR DOMAIN AND THEIR SITE!!
Are YOU prepared to spend a fortune to do the same with a crap domain?
And it is a crap domain unless you spend a fortune to do something with it!
End of story.
I think for a sure sell the price would be $5 - $10 range and if you want to bet for a higher amount, you could fix a desired higher amount, let's say $100+ and contact potential enduser or wait an uncertain amount of time hoping some day someone decide to use that name and is willing to pay that amount, the problem is that this is not sure that will happen, so is what you decide to bet for
IMHO and Goog luck!
The bottom line is, in reality it's just another random LLLLL.com.
These type of names are a dime a dozen on the open market for reg-fee prices.
Random LLLL.com's are still trying to make their mark in the industry.
So without saying, it's going to be a long time before LLLLL's make their debut.
Right now your looking at Reg-fee in value for this name at best.
IMHO
I actually agree with iowadawg's original post.
Find someone called Jysen with deep pockets that wants the domain. If you can't, then the domain holds very little value.
Best of luck![]()
Hold on all these 5 letter first names and don't let them go for x-xx in forums, etc. List them at afternic and godaddy, and you might also want to try namebucket. Then simply sit on them for 1 to 2 years. Of course you can also actively market these to people who are named Jysen (or whatever other first names you have).
