domain Please appraise - is there a big difference in price between .net and .info?

I've notice during my domain searches that .net's get neglected for .info some of the time....why is this? So I snatched up commercialsearch.net being the only one left with .org that's still available...is this normal that a .net is still unclaimed while the .info and .biz are registered already?

I've paid 2.99 lowest for .net
and the lowest for .info was .60
I bought the .info cause all the .nets were gone
and they fit the ext.
I bought the .nets cause they were available
but I didn't buy the .info
not sure if that will help.

Basically, get the .net if still available and only get the .info if it really fits the domain name. Thanks.

Im not sure how long ago or what registra but didnt one like GoDaddy.com give out free .info registrations for a certain amount of time? I remember everyone snatching everything up, hey who wouldnt if it was free? So that might explain why .infos are taken in that specific domain and .net/.org are still available. Just my opinion.
