I own the domain investment/ease dot com (without the /), and just received an email from someone asking me how much I am asking for it. Since I just got into domaining, I am not sure what would be a suitable amount to tell the interested buyer. Kindly let me know how much you think it is worth:xf.smile:

Have you done any research on the buyer?

Be aware of scam offers. Do not pay for any Domain valuation reports!

Yes, I checked which domains are connected to the interested buyers email. He seems to be a domainer, and the email he used to contact me is connected to about 50 undeveloped domains. I didn't see any "standout" premium domains in his portfolio. Since he is probably not an enduser, I am not expecting too much from this inquiry. He contacted me through the contact form on the registrar parking page (I didn't list it on a marketplace yet), so he must have found it through direct type-in.

Still not sure how much this domain could be worth and what I should try to go for. Looking at past sales for various "investment" related domains, it seems they usually went for minimum low $x,xxx, and often a lot more than that.

Yes, but the "ease" modifier is not a huge seller. The highest selling domain ending in ease was compease.com for $1300. The next one up was cardease at $900. I found no evidence of much use of the phrase "investment ease" in domain titles or in ads and there are no other registered extensions for that domain. I'd say you'd be lucky to get $xxx for it, but if you're dealing with a reseller maybe not even that. The best approach might be to ask him to make you an offer and see what happens. The bad news is that if he's a domainer he might be aware of this thread.

I wouldn't register the name if it was available. Most garbage names get spam/fake offers from people. If you are that out of touch with your life/reality that you are buying domains, and cannot make simple decisions on how to respond to people who are "allegedly" asking about your name(s), then you definitely don't have a bright future in life.

You are either a scammer yourself, and are trying to drum up phoney interest in your name, or you are being scammed by a potential fake buyer. The odds that someone is looking to buy your name and is willing to pay you money for it are close to zero. Not zero, but very close to zero.
