If you own a trademarked domain, you may receive a C&D (cease and desist) notice from the owner of the trademark. This will usually request that you immediately forfeit the domain to them and threatens further legal action if you do not comply. They can sue you, file a UDRP, or I've seen some cases where the registrar steps in and actually just removes the domain from you. There is a lot of information here, I'd recommend doing some searching.jmul7 said:I'm new to buying domains, so can you please clarify. If domains have copyright/tm issues, what happens? Am I obliged to give them the domain name free of charge?
No, you shouldn't. Aside from the TM issues, I wouldn't appraise it above what you paid for it anyway.jmul7 said:Thanks, so I definitely won't be able to sell it on? or will i!?
