Any thoughts on the subject domain?

Just snapped it on a back order. Seemed like the kind of name that could be worth taking a bit of a gamble on.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Worth my time?

Should I actively sell it or just see if anyone comes in with an offer?

Your hope is a place called The Hotel New Hampshire will want to go with hotelnew. Essentially your asking people to buy a fragmented domain.

look for people like hotelnewera.com and ask if they would be intrested in your name.

The other route would be maybe a hotel cleaning/maid type of brand.

Yes, usually a good reason a domain dropped.

Just could not sell the domain.

So here you come, register it.
And expect to sell at big bucks?

..no matter if it was dropped or not "Hotels New" makes no sense to me.. i admit i may be missing the point

sounds weird, looks even worse and incomplete without "York", "Hampshire" etc

unless there's New Hotels chain somehow not covered by Google i would value it at $0 as a "Hotel plus some random word" domain ..sorry
