Anytime your potential end users are banks, financial institutions, and investing firms it gets REALLY tough to even approach them. From their view they have enough money to buy whatever name they want to buy. This is coming from personal experience.
Don't spend the time developing it if you have no passion. Developing takes so much time that it is hard to really give it justice unless you have passion and some great patience to learn from trial and error. Again more personal experience.
I would casually begin to market it where you see appropriate. Advertising that it is brandable, has keywords and is in .com will definitely help you out.
