If you pay $9 for domain registration and renewal a year, and if that domain is 10 years old and while you are giving xx for that, it means that domain doesn't cost more than what was spent on it. Am I right?

its not simple math like : age X renewal fee = price
the name itself dont have any value undeveloped , but coz the domain has nice age and it was never drooped , so the search engine tent to "trust" such a domain more then new register domain name , this is why it has some value which i can estimate at low $$ as reseller price

Then where is the value? Value of age is $9? If it got $9 value since it is old, your price estimation of $$ (Which can be $99 most) is not right.

In other words, highest $$ is $99. I have already spent $90 for that domain. $99 - $90 = $9

Is this $9 your value for its age?

you have a domain with an "e" and a dash "-" for a OK term "possible". I see no branding value, no SEO value, the age of the domain is only thing of value with this domain. I see the domain had some limited development.

You might be able break even with your registration costs. sorry.

I would pay $0 for this domain. I could see some domainers paying $100 to park the domain and hope for some traffic from limited development. As a developer, I would prefer to buy a dot com tied to a high search term vs dealing with a 10 year old domain that had light development.

with development, anything is possible. But this forum is about the "raw" domain name - since the domain is not developed. In its current state, very little value. Develop it....well look how much del.icio.us is worth not that this has been developed.
