But people decreasingly specifically look for and buy dvd players..... they're just integrated in to everything and even that will be phased out in the next few years. It's all about the download/stream these days and subscription services like netflix etc. There is still a big market for dvd players but there's no future in it and that hurts this domains value.

Also I don't see how laptops and consoles being able to read dvd's helps the domain dvdplayerdotcom. If anything it hurts it significantly.

I agree to an extent, media read with non-moving parts or downloaded is sure to replace most of DVD use in time ... DVD and CD format are such high quality that I think they will remain dominant players for some time, enough time to cleanup with this domain.

The movie industry will want to sell hard copies of movies well into the future. For impulse buying and gifts. And hard copies can be resold by their owners. And they want them to be in a size that not easily stolen. I wouldn't dump the name, but it is taking a big hit as people dont need a dvd player the way they did not too long ago.

Ok I'm going to clean up by selling dvd players. Don't want to sell it as there is plenty of searches and type in traffic and searches are holding steady ie no shortage of demand. Wouldn't dream of dumping it. I think when there is confusion and others cant see the opportunity is when you catch good names at right prices.
