I'm planning to sell my domain using a professional service. They're taking 10% to 20% commission. Is it a good deal? Can you guys tell me how much beautifulbody.com would sell for.

Thank you,

Service from afterNic

There are three different distribution levels:

Basic - your domains are only listed on Afternic. If your name sells we take a 10% commission.

Expanded - your domains are listed across 20 of our affiliates' sites. If your name sells we take a 20% commission.

Premium - your domains are listed across 22 of our affiliates' sites. If your name sells we take a 20% commission. ONLY domains registered with Network Solutions or Register.com can opt-in to this promotion level. If you wish to participate under Premium you will need to switch your registrar to either Network Solutions or Register.com

Sedo is your best bet, they are 10%. I don't know if Afternic is worth 20% but maybe others can weigh in. So many end-users in doctors, trainers, health sites, fitness machines, health magazines, etc. I think this can go for low - mid $XX,XXX

I have not been able to sell beautifulbody.com at the price you guys recommended. Is it overpriced? I need some suggestions.

If you really want to sell, start an auction at Sedo with a low starting bid ($xxx).

Then it's up to the market to decide the real value!

Thinking outside the box: you might consider finding a couple popular fitness magazines, body & health magazines, etc., and paying for one small monthly ad in each. Something simple like 'domain name: BeautifulBody.com for sale! Go there for details'. It is extremely targeted end users reading those magazines, and might be worth the initial outlay of cash for those ads, if you can sell to one of them at a nice end user price. Takes time, takes a little up front cash, but you're getting your name in front of the right eyeballs.

Conversely, check the websites for any of these magazines, they might possibly have free or cheap classified ad sections you can post to...

Keep thinking outside the box. Good luck, great name! :)

A great domain.. If I was you i would sell it myself, if you want me to try to find a buyer i would charge %5 comission and i would be happy to research and send out the e-mails. It sounds like you wont get much for their comission fees apart from them doing things you could do yourself in little time. Good luck. I would of snapped off the persons hand who offered $9k but thats just be im a newbie to domaining.

I think there are tons of plastic surgeries etc who would love this domain.

Good luck.

Sell it to dove beauty. It would fit well with their marketing.

How can he sell it if he doesn't own it? Check the whois for his websites in his signature and the domain.
