"la shopping" googled 22K last month

the extension hurts it however. in terms of indexing/seo, that is a terrific site to develop. altho .org may be inappropriate, it is a popular extension that would not hurt development in this respect

but in finding an end-user, it's a really broad term, and i'm not sure who exactly you would be targetting. i suppose you could target a company that did reviews on various shopping malls, and that wrote shopping guides for the city.. but that target market is hard to pinpoint

you'd be better off targetting mom and pop owners, but i'm not sure what reason they would want a domain, unless it was to offer an online store. in which case, they would probably have a domain and store already

great to develop.. but finding an end-user, it's a tough situation

Like johname said, the name does not really fit the .org extension. However, the keywords "la shopping" get searched on average 22,200 times a month according to google keyword tool. Those are not super high numbers, but the advertising competition is not too shabby.

If you got this name for reg fee I think you made a great pickup. I would not expect too much from a reseller but to an end user I would not let it go for less than a grand.

One thing that is nice about this name is people shorten Los Angeles to "LA" a lot, it is one the few cities that is probably known just as well (and maybe more) by its acronym than its proper spelling.
