I think a thousand bucks is good going. If they're opening offers you could try your hand at doubling the amounts but its not a bad return as it is IMO.

I agree about the pod name - seem to be plenty of sales in the 500-1000 range. But check the news online first. Especially for the second name - that would be a good return but developments in that field could make it a lot more desirable. Are there any related sales? 3d printing for cars and spare parts is only a matter of time.
