Now i see what you were thinking. I work in cancer research and can tell you that this is a nice technical advance though cancer survival is measured at 5 years usually and they are only at the 9 month point. Thats still great for those patients though.
As a general widespread technique, I doubt it will get the attention needed to warrant a website or interest in a domain name dedicated to it.
For example look at prostate seed implantation, search google and look at the domain names. This is a technique that got far more coverage than the laser brain surgery and prostateseed.com is parked.
Unfortunately there are press releases every day claiming a big breakthrough in cancer and then they either go away or are just added to standard therapy. Most of them are too early and over hyped.
There are good medical technique domains but you have to choose very carefully.
