Which services have people had luck with? I have listed about 500 domains on afternic.com with no luck, but many clicks. I am preparing my list of 5,000 total urls for sedo. I have thought about domain... erg... i forget the name. Anyone have advice on the best place and way to sell solid domain names?

THANK YOU!

You named two of the biggest, sedo and afternic.
Also out there: GreatDomains.com , eBay (cow.com just went for $45K), and any number of forums similar to this one.

Ebay is the place to get best price. I've seen most crappy domain sold for thousands.

hmmm IMO not really. There are many bargains to be found there.

If the domains are premium, try marketing them direct to the end users. Also, make sure the domains are resolving to a page that lets the visitor know the domain is for sale... whether that's at Sedo, Afternic, or a page you've setup yourself.

There are a lot of newbers on ebay that will pay way too much for a crappy domain.

However, it is not necessarily true that if you have a good domain that you will get a good price for it there. Go figure. It really all depends on how you go about it.

IF you are contacting potential buyers for a fairly high value domain, and you want to direct them to an auction, eBay is best way to go if your prospective buyers are not domain traders but rather end users. this is becasue they never really heard of domain trading sites and might hesitate to bid. But everyone has heard of eBay so that element is virtually eliminated.
