Ping Your WP Blog

If you’re running a Wordpress blog, you will have probably heard about Wordpress’s Ping Function. It is where it sends messages to Ping sites that you’ve made a new post. These sites are great because it will help your blog posts get indexed a lot quicker. This post will give you a big list of Ping sites that you can insert into the box that it will ping after each new post.

With these, all you have to do is login to the Wordpress Admin Panel, and go into Settings –> Writing. You should see a box near the bottom about Pinging websites. Copy the list of URL’s and you’re done. All you have to do is start making more posts and you should find your posts being indexed very quick.

Do we need to ping our blog post to all of these sites? Will it result in any duplicate pings i mean repeated pings?

Very informative indeed. Our wordpress blog's default ping is rpc.pingomatic, but it seems that pingomatic does not contain all the above service.

Also, be sure to use a plugin such as Ping Optimizer. Will help keep you from being banned as a ping spammer. By default Wordpress pings even when you just edit a post!

also be careful using that many - you'll impact on your server because of all the remote calls. Especially if you are running multiple installations on the one box.

Yes! We need to ping it with those sites. In my own opinion, It's not a duplicate pings as what are you trying to say am I right? :ghost:
