PianoTube.com, just sold on Sedo

following some big sales of tube domains recently, like:

FileTube.com $4000
Converttube.com, 16350euros
skytube.com, $6000

pianotube.com has only managed 90 pounds which is like $180...

what do you think of the sale?

is it a good price?

update: I missed the sedo auction, but i contacted the winner of the auction and managed to buy it. I may have paid more than I wanted, but since i've already got a large collection of tube domains, it may be worth it...i hope so anyway....

I was ready to pay subtantially more for drum tube dot com on here (did have a site and traffic) I'm both a drummer and a piano player.

The reason I like it is because of the potential for a video sharing site.

Watching someone play piano can be a much easier way to learn than to read music or take a lesson - at least it will help you if you already are reading music/taking lessons.

I think that it was a low sale for the "Tube" name based on what others have sold for. The buyer got a very good price for it IMO

after some consideration, i made an offer for the domain and i'm happy to report that after some negotiation, PianoTube.com is mine now...and i have just set up a website for it.

i can't believe it...zeetube.com sold for $500 at sedo.com and RandomTube.com is at $220....

yet, the previous owner of PianoTube.com won the domain at sedo.com for only $180...how come i missed it!!!!!!!!.....it has costed me dearly...

Being an avid piano player, I'd have to agree that I never have watched a Piano Lesson on youtube, but I'm sure many do based on the number of plays Piano Lesson videos get on there (I just searched). Unless you have a keyboard/synth near your computer to practice on, it might be hard to learn much from an online video.

So I think a good mix of live piano performances, music videos, and piano lessons is needed or PianoTube.com will just be boring to most people. To add some spice I would get some Tori Amos, Alicia Keys, Elton John, and some of the more popular musicians who play the piano on there unless you want to go in the classical direction. I've personally learned more from watching Tori Amos play than any classical pianist, but she's definitely an aquired taste.
