Phpbb forum mod_rewrite

Hi!
Please don't shout me down as i may come off sounding very stupid here as my coding knowledge is basic at best. I have a site running a phpbb forum and want to know if there is a code that will turn the thread topic/title into the page title when opened- i.e. each topic becomes a new page when viewed. I believe this is better for the search engines. Does anyone know what I'm going on about? Can anyone help if so?

It's not exactly what you want, I haven't seen anything that is but it's a start.
