Hey guys!

I'm having a little trouble setting up my site. Here's the situation; I have needhockey.com and I want to create forums on the site. When I create forums, I have to 'install' them to needhockey.com/forum.

How can I make it so that when users type "www.needhockey.com" and press "enter" they go to needhockey.com/forum?

Another problem:

When I goto needhockey.com, I get this error:

There is no website configured at this address.

I don't know what the problem is! :-/

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

well sounds like you are installing it in its own directory....try to install it in your public_html dir and should be fine

your using the installer in cpanel right? if you want it in your / folder then just install it manually, or I can do it for you for 50np$, if it says there is no site configured at this address then maybe you set up the account wrong, you could have mispelled the domain when you set up the account

Yes, this is probably what you need to do. Also, you need to go to http://www.yourdomain.com/install/install.php before you can go to your index. That is probably why you are receiving this error. PM me and I can help you out, if you haven't figured it out yet.

If the only thing you're going to have on the site is the forum, then you can install it in the root. During the phpBB install you have the option to change where it gets installed, just change it from "/forums" to "/".

You could also let it install in the forums directory and then set up a redirect (in your Control Panel or with an htaccess) so when the user hits "/" they're redirected to "/forums".

or just make an index.php file with this in it:

<?php header("location:forum/index.php"); ?>
